Condolences
C. Bourguet My deepest condolence March 16, 2018

My condolences, as feelings of pain and bitterness become unbearable. It is my desire to convey a comforting thought based on the Holy Scriptures

John 5:28 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

This passage speaks of the resurrection of our loved ones. It is not God's plan to see us suffer and die, so He extends the following invitation to us: "Come near to God and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8)

Please go to the following link to obtain more information regarding the Hope expressed in this passage and again we are sorry for your loss.

Don Barber Grandson of a GGHG Trooper September 26, 2007

I would like to send my condolences to the McLean Family and friends.  My grandfather was a trooper in the Governor's General Horse Guard at the time Trooper McLean was during WW II.  My grandfather was Trooper Gerald "Jerry" Major; I'm sure they were atleast acquainted with each other.  I listened intently to my grandfather's memories and know that they, and their regiment, suffered difficult battles while they were very young men.  A world owes them greatly; still.  I lost my grandfather (who resided in Santa Barbara, CA.), miss him terribly, and I share your loss.

Sincerely,

Don Barber (Trooper Gerald Major's grandson)

Charlie and I are sorry to learn that Geroge has left us. He was very proud of his family. I remember my first day of working at Landor Assoc. He was the first fellow artist I met and he made me feel at home, introducing me to the other artists 50 years ago. George will always be part of my memories of my happy times working with them all.

Jennifer and I got to visit grandpa George just 2 weeks before he left us - he got to see his great grandchildren, Miles Alexander and Macy Rene, which we considered God's providence. He will be missed but he has quite a legacy now.
